To exempt certain in-Canada foreign nationals from the Immigration Medical Examination requirement

The government of Canada extended the public policy to exempt certain in-Canada foreign nationals from Medical Examination requirement. This public policy was established on June 28, 2021, and expired on December 28, 2021.

On January 23, 2022, the newly appointed Minister of Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada announced to extend this policy to March 31, 2022. In the background information, the minister confirmed that the immigration cap for 2022 is 411,000, and

“Various measures are underway at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to help meet the 2021 and 2022 targets by facilitating the process to obtain permanent residence status for in-Canada foreign nationals”.

Will the “Various Measures” refer to the similar massive admissions happened on February 13, 2021 and May 6, 2021?

We know when these two events happened, a quite number of applicants were not able to book appointments for Immigration Medical Exam.

Will this public policy be in place to avoid the similar situation?

The opportunities are for those who prepare.

As an experienced immigration consultant, I strongly recommend the potential applicants to be ready for another life-time opportunity.
