Express Entry
Express Entry (EE) is a federal immigration program. There are 3 sub-programs in EE, Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and Federal Skilled Trades program (FST). Each program has its own eligibility requirements and comprehensive ranking system.
An applicant registers her/his profile in the federal candidate pool. The IRCC will issue an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to applicants who rank on the top periodically. The applicant who receives an ITA needs to submit a complete permanent resident application within 60 days.
If the supporting documents applicant submitted for her/his PR application don’t match the profile information the application registered for the candidate pool, the application may be returned or rejected.

Provincial Nominee programs

Pathways for Hong Kong Residents
On June 08 2021, Canadian government issued a public policy to provide 2 permanent residence pathways to Hong Kong residents to address the concern of Chinese national security law to Hong Kong. This public policy will expire on August 31, 2026.

Agri-Food Pilot

Agri-Food Pilot is a 3-year pilot program for permanent residence. The program started in May 2020 and will end in May 2023. The purpose of this program is to ease the labour shortage in agriculture and food process industries.
The threshold is low for this program. The applicants need
- Canadian equivalent high school education;
- CLB 4 English language efficiency
- 1-year Canadian experience in eligible industries and occupations
